Have you ever noticed when someone has really bad lipstick?
I have, it looks as if it were drawn on, with the heavy lip liner. This just seems to detract from anything else, drawing all your focus on the lips. There are so many women who just don't know how to get the perfect lipstick look.
You can have the perfect lipstick by first starting with the perfect lip line.
There are a few steps that you need to take in order to have that perfect look.
1. Apply your foundation to your lips as well as the rest of your face, this provides a great base for your liner and lipstick.
2. As you trace your lip-line, keep your mouth closed, and make
sure
your pencil is sharpened. If you use a blunt pencil, it will make it difficult to blend. First, you want to start at the "v" or cupid's bow of your top lip, and then you will move outward to the corners with short strokes. After completing the top lip, start on in the middle of your lower lip, moving outward toward the corners, following your natural lip line.
3. To get the look of full lips, you can trace the outer edge of your lip line, but be sure not to go over the natural lip line. If you want them to look smaller, then you do the opposite, tracing inside the lip line.
4. You will find that your lipstick will stay on longer if you first cover the entire lip area with the liner. But be aware, if you are using a dark lip liner, it will change the color of your lipstick. If you want a light color on your lips, stay with a light color liner.
5. Once your lips are filled in, apply your lipstick with a lipstick brush, this gives you more control. Then close your lips, place a tissue lightly to blot.
Now, you have the perfect lipstick and beautiful, kissable lips. You will need to do touch ups throughout the day. You will have a beautiful finish to your makeup and healthier lips too.
Makeup should be used to enhance your features and make you feel good about yourself. Figure out what your best asset is and use makeup to bring it out.
