So, you want to have a little more contrast to your eye makeup and want that sexy, sultry, smoky look?  Go no further!  I will give you step by step instructions to accomplish that look and it really is pretty simple.

1. Always choose a good concealer.  You will be safe in choosing a shade a little lighter than your own skin tone and try to cover any blemishes or dark circles that you may have.  You really need to make sure that you have good coverage, because the smokey eyes look best if very dark and dramatic.

2. Draw a line with a black eye liner pencil along the upper lash line.  Always start from the inner corner with a thin line and gradually work your way out with a thicker line.

3. Draw a thin line as close to the lower lash line as possible.  Depending on the affect you are looking for, you can draw the line a third of the way or draw the line all the way to the inner corner.  You should experiment both ways to see which look best suits you.

4. If you want a line that stays on longer, you can choose to use liquid black eyeliner on top of the pencil liner.

5. Take a crease brush or an angled brush and apply dark grey eye shadow to the creases of your eye, approximately 1/3 of the way in.  Go back and forth with you brush until the shadow looks dark enough and with no visible lines.  For an even more dramatic look, take an eyeliner brush and run it through your grey eye shadow and apply it over the liquid liner to give you more of a smokey look.

6. The last thing you want to do is apply black mascara to your top and bottom lashes.  Let them dry for a minute or two and reapply again so that your eyes will have that smokey, more dramatic look.

A few extra Tips to keep in mind:

You can use different colors as long as they are dark shades, such as blues and purples.  These colors can also give you a very sexy look.

If you really want your eyes to pop out, dab a little white shadow to the inner corners of the eyes, closer to the eye, than nose.

Use a very thin brush for a more natural look.  This will make your eyes come to life and will also make the redness in your eyes appear to disappear.

As you practice these techniques, you will find what works for you in attaining this smokey sultry look.  Have fun with it because this look compliments almost everyone and you will have fun trying some new looks.
